Carter has already developed likes and dislikes. For example: likes being held close in the baby bjorn or papoose. dislikes being put down and the carseat (thus making it very difficult for Mom to get anything done during the day!) Likes nursing. Dislikes being told nursing time is over after an hour!! Likes spitting up a LOT and fortunately he also likes taking baths!!
Baby fever has apparently caught most all the couples of childbearing age on our small block (I'd say all but one, in fact). Our friends Catherine and Zach had baby Abbey on February 27th just 8 hours before Carter was born. Casey and Chris had baby Riley 10 days before Carter's birthday. Carter and I had the ladies and babies over for lunch last week which was fun! Come June we will have another girl next door to our right and in July yet another baby girl next door to our left! Carter will have lots of lady friends growing up!!
Carter experienced his very first Grizzlies baseball game on Friday. He slept nearly the entire time on Daddy's chest in the Baby Bjorn - what a great invention!! We have photos to post but will have to try again later due to technical difficulties on this website.

I just love your new photos but I REALLY miss the real you. You are so cute and cuddlely. I hope to see you again, Carter, before you grow much more. Your Mom and Dad are such wonderful parents. When you grow up you will realize what extraordinary parents you are blessed with.
