Carter had his 2 month check-up Friday and is doing very well. He has grown to 11 lbs and 22 3/4 inches long! Even his head has grown bigger - Ryan didn't think it was possible! Carter was born with a rather large "melon" as Ryan likes to call it. I remind him that Vanna White was chosen for Wheel of Fortune by Merv Griffin specifically because her cranium was large in proportion to her body. Merv said it made her a natural for the camera. See?! There is a silver lining!!!
Carter seems to be learning things and advancing by the day. Just yesterday I took him around the yard and we touched the trees and leaves and plants. He loved holding onto the leaves and feeling the new sensations! It was a sunny, warm day so we wore our sunglasses to protect our delicate eyes from the suns rays.
Today he has been incredibly active - more so than I think ever before. He has already done 2 sessions of tummy time and "crawled" off the mat several times on his own! He also greeted daddy this morning with a "social" smile as the doctor calls it. That is the one milestone that the Doctor was unable to get Carter to do at his check-up and we're looking forward to many more beautiful smiles from our little guy.
Uh-oh...gotta run. Mr. Fussy Britches is back!!
