Carter really enjoyed his 2nd Easter. I have to keep reminding myself it is NOT his 1st. It sure feels like it since he was too little to really participate at all last year. On Friday we enjoyed a special celebration for Mommies and Kiddos only hosted by my friend Kari's church. It was on the property of one of the parishoners who have a large peice of land complete with an old-fashioned Carousel and a real kid-sized train that runs around the property. Carter, being the easy-going, up-for-anything cool kid that he is (Mom and Dad's unbiased opinions, of course) enjoyed both (although the Carousel was a little faster than either of us had anticipated and I noticed some extra-wide eyes on that one!). Carter also enjoyed his very first Easter egg hunt. He was very good at finding the eggs (with Mama's help) then picking them up and putting them into his bag all by himself!
Today Carter got a very cool (and big) Easter basket from the Easter bunny (someone really had fun and went a little crazy helping the bunny pick out those Carter-appropriate toys!!!). The bunny also left baskets from Grandma and Grandpa Diltz and Nana and Papa Whitehouse. Thank you Easter Bunny!!

In the afternoon we had an egg hunt in our backyard with Carter's buddy, Ryan. They both really seemed to get the concept of finding the eggs and had a great time! Carter particularly excelled at finding the eggs, handing them to Mom to see what was inside and then dropping them into his bag. This little boy is so cute to me I can hardly stand it!!!
