A Day at the Pumpkin Patch

The Clift Family had a busy weekend. Now that Carter is scooting around quite proficiently, we can no longer procrastinate the dreaded task of babyproofing the house. So a couple hours and way too much money later, we emerged from Babies R Us armed with all the babyproofing materials money can buy. We also spent some time and dough at the Halloween store in preparation for Carter's first Halloween. Sunday we took a trip to Cobb's Ranch to visit the pumpkin patch and the animals. Below are some photos from that trip.

Carter is all ready now for Halloween. He is going to be a lion and we have invited his fellow babies from the neighborhood over to our place for a little Halloween bash. There will be some great photo ops with all the kiddies dressed up!
In just 8 days Carter will turn 8 months and my what progress he has made in the past month. He is now sleeping pretty consistently in his crib without too many late night wakings. I am finally getting some MUCH needed rest after nearly 7 months without more than 2 hours at a time. Now if only Mom could quit waking every hour to check on him, that would be great! Carter is enjoying his newfound ability to "scoot" wherever he wants to go. He particularly enjoys chasing our cat Libby around the floor and we suspect she enjoys teasing him.
This week are looking forward to a visit from Grandma and Grandpa Diltz. While here we are taking a road trip down to Claremont where I grew up to visit family and friends. This will be Carter's first visit here and first time meeting his "womb mate" Luke Belitz and so many people who love him. This will be my first trip down to Claremont in almost 2 years and I'm really looking forward to it. We will have plenty of great photos to share next week!

Wow, what a busy weekend in the Clift house! Great photos at the Pumpkin Patch. Brings back fond memories of Bates Bros. Nut Farm in Valley Center, CA. Remember, Deanna.
