Happy 6 Month Birthday Carter!
This is one of my favorite pictures of Carter. He is smiling at the Diltz family dog, Sadie.
And what a big boy he is! We just returned from a 10 day trip to my parents in Portland, OR. This was a trip full of "firsts" for Carter. Here is a list:- first trip out of state
- first time on an airplane
- first time meeting Uncle Michael, Auntie Hallie and Cousin Jonah!
- first time eating rice cereal
- first time riding on a carousel
- first time to the coast/beach
- FIRST TOOTH!
I have a feeling there were several other firsts I am omitting but these are the biggest ones. Carter was a jewel on the airplane and played the whole trip up to Portland (just under 2 hour flight). On the way home he slept nearly the entire time and woke near the end to play and have a snack. We tried rice cereal at Grandma and Grandpa's place which Carter LOVES!! He is a pro already at eating off of the spoon and sitting in a big boy high chair. And on Monday, 8/18, his first tooth cut through. And today I felt the second. He now has his two front (bottom) teeth!!
Carter and Mommy outside of airport security before our first flight to Portland on August 15th.

Carter playing with cousin Jonah at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

Carter meeting the sheep at the Canby Fair in Oregon.

Carter riding a big boy truck. He loved it so much that Daddy bought him one of his very own when we returned home!
Here are a bunch of photos taken over the past month since my last posting.

Carter and his girl Abbey playing in our pool in the backyard.

Carter and Mommy going for a walk. He was so excited to be in his metrosling I just love this photo!

Carter and his girl Abbey playing in our front yard during our yard sale a few weekends ago. What fun we had playing together all day in the front yard.

Carter in the backyard getting ready for a swim. What a great smile!!

I love this "self portrait" of Carter and Daddy.
On Tuesday, the day after Carter and I got home from Portland, we were invited to our friend/neighbor's house for a playdate and what a big playdate it was! There were 8 babies there! Most were 4-7 months with one 11 month old and a 1 and 2 month old as well. It was great fun for babies and mommies alike!
I will have more photos from our Portland trip to post soon.
